my favorite new story

So I was helping my mother cook for a dinner party last weekend, and was moving a pot from one burner on the stove to the one behind it using a napkin as my mitt. The napkin dangled down and caught on fire!!! And then a minute later, it touched my shirt and that caught on fire!

All of a sudden, I was like, hmm, why does my stomach feel hot, and look down and scream, obviously. I put the shirt-fire out with my burning napkin (brilliant, I know) and then threw down the napkin to the floor. My mom walked in to see me beating it down and flipped. It was really funny seeing her mourning the loss of a good napkin for a good while before she saw me and became hysterical and huggy. I really wish I was in the right mind to take pictures.

Guess what sucks...

So apparently I have to be in Panama by August 25... I apply for that program b/c it said they didn't start until into September... I get back the 20th and leave five days later... meaning I won't be able to see any of you guys until the spring.... For the people whose stuff I'm storing.. I'll make sure it gets to you. No worries.

Hey all. This is just to keep up with each other over the break and for those of us gone... through junior year... at least. Who knows, we might even be able to keep this after college.
